A brief history of Peugeot
Peugeot is a French car manufacturer that was founded in 1810 by Jean-Pierre Peugeot. It was originally named "Fils de Fournisseur d'Armes de St. Etienne", which translates to "Son of Weapons Dealer from Saint Etienne".
The company started out as a manufacturer of various goods, including coffee mills. The first car was built in 1890 and featured a 3HP four-stroke engine with a top speed of 8km/h (5mph).
