A brief history of Nissan
Nissan cars were first manufactured in 1933 by the DAT Motorcar Company. In 1934, it was sold to Prince Motor Company and renamed Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. The company's first car model was called Datsun Type 10 or Datsun 100A, which was produced from 1934 to 1935.
In 1938, Nissan introduced its first luxury car called Bluebird. It was an immediate success and remained in production until 1960.
Nissan's popularity in the UK started in the 1950s when it became famous for its small cars such as Datsun Sunny (1961) and Datsun Cherry (1968).
