Genesis is the luxury car division of Hyundai. Alongside Hyundai’s standard car subscription service, Mocean, the group has launched Genesis Flexibility — a way to drive elegant, luxury cars on subscription.
Genesis Flexibility includes several benefits in their standard car subscriptions. You’ll get scheduled servicing, roadside assistance, and mileage included in your package, as well as the support of a Genesis Personal Assistant, who can help with setting up your subscription.
If you’re interested in driving a Genesis car without the commitment and cost of buying, a Genesis Flexibility car subscription could be the right choice for you.
As with other branded vehicle subscription providers, you’re limited to Genesis cars. However, there aren’t many Genesis cars currently available with other providers, so if you want to drive one of these luxury vehicles on subscription, this is probably the best way to do it.
Browse the available cars and their specifications on the Genesis Flexibility website. When you’re ready to subscribe, you’ll need to contact their team using the online enquiry form. You can’t subscribe directly through the website.
Your Personal Assistant will guide you through the subscription process. You’ll need to pass a credit check and pay the first month’s rental upfront.
When your car subscription has been approved, the car will be delivered to your home within two weeks. Your Personal Assistant will show you around the car. When it’s time to return it, they’ll collect the car from you.
Each Genesis Flexibility contract lasts for 18 months, but the minimum term is just 6 months. Once you’ve had the car for 6 months, you can return it without paying a penalty. Cancel your car subscription with 30 days’ notice any time after this 6 month period.
You must be at least 18 years old to use Genesis Flexibility. You’ll also need to pass a credit check and possibly provide a guarantor.
Genesis Flexibility doesn’t set out any other requirements (such as limits on licence penalty points, CCJs, or at-fault insurance claims) but their subscription is subject to status, so these may also apply.
As a luxury car brand, you can expect to pay more with Genesis Flexibility than budget car subscription providers. Currently, a standard Genesis Flexibility car subscription costs between £635 and £1,545 a month.
These subscriptions include:
Notably, Genesis Finance doesn’t include maintenance in its standard package beyond scheduled servicing. Insurance is also excluded.
Genesis Flexibility allows you to drive a premium car without paying for one upfront. So it’s ideal if you’re looking to upgrade your driving experience for a relatively low cost.
That said, Genesis Flexibility is more expensive than many other car subscription providers. You’re also tied in for at least 6 months, so make sure you can afford these monthly payments. Genesis Flexibility may work well if you want a medium-term subscription, rather than the flexibility to cancel or switch cars every month or so.
You’ll need to speak to the Genesis support team to take out a car subscription. This is ideal for drivers who want a hands-on, personalised experience, rather than a no-frills online-only service.

No. You’ll need to arrange your own insurance. While it’s an extra cost, this allows you to tailor your insurance requirements and add as many additional drivers as you like.
The GV60 is the only electric car currently available with Genesis Flexibility in the UK. So your options are limited, but it is possible. If you’re looking for an electric car on subscription, EV specialist providers like EZOO and elmo have a wider range of options.
You can keep your car for a maximum of 18 months. At the end of your term, you’ll need to arrange car return with your Personal Assistant.
