The evolution of car ownership is far from complete, and Evogo is another car subscription company which offers this new way to access brand-new cars without much hassle.
Evogo is part of Evolution Funding, which was identified as one of London Stock Exchange’s ‘1000 Companies to Inspire Britain’ twice in the past five years. So, you know you’ll be in safe hands!
You start off by picking a car of your choice. If there’s a specific model you really want but isn’t available yet, you can back-order it and drive a lead-in car while you wait.
Another perk of going with Evogo which isn’t available with other subscription companies, is that you can part-exchange your old car towards the cost of your subscription. Nice one.
The next step, the most important of all, is filling out their application form. You’ll need to provide your basic personal details a long with details about your job and desired vehicle and mileage. The Evogo team will assess your eligibility and get back to you within 48 hours.
Where other subscription service include insurance in the monthly payment, Evogo would require you to find and pay for your premium on your own. So, you’ll need to get this sorted before collecting your car.
Another interesting tid-bit with Evogo is that you have to pick up your first car in person from their office in Sheffield. The good news is that, when you decide to get a new car, they’ll be able to deliver it to you.
Your car subscription agreement with Evogo lasts 89 days and you’ll need to renew it if you want to carry on using the car. This is all done online so it shouldn’t take more than a couple of minutes.
In terms of mileage, you can choose between 10k to 30k miles per annum and Evogo will ask you submit your mileage regularly.
Once you’ve submitted your application, it would take about two days to see if you’ve been approved. Before you apply, you should check their full list of requirements:
We also have an in-depth guide which explains the driver requirements and eligibility in a lot more detail.
Evogo is definitely easier on the pocket than Pivotal for example which has higher overall charges and fees.
There’s no deposit per se but rather a non-refundable ‘reservation fee’. The fee is usually equal to 1.5x the monthly subscription cost.
Here are some example Evogo costs if you subscribe to a SEAT Ibiza
If you’re looking a subscription service which offers a wide variety or makes and models for any budget, then Evogo is for you. It’s generally cheaper than other subscription services and usually have a round 40 cars available at any given time.
There are no extra charges, or exit fees, makes planning your budget quite easy. Plus, you have the freedom the get your own insurance so you can shop around to find a good deal. That’s not possible with other services as they would include their own which could be a bit more expensive.
